ニットらしいアラン模様をポリエステルからウールへとグラデーション状に編み、強縮加工を施しアウター素材へ進化させたダッフルコート。まさにCOOHEMの原点である「ニットらしいけどニットらしくない」モノづくりへ挑戦した最高傑作。

By knitting together gradated layers of polyester and wool in a classic Aran pattern and using a special shrinking process to produce the durability of outerwear, we have created a duffel coat that is a prime illustration of COOHEM’s commitment to producing unique and unconventional knitwear.

ANIMAL GRADATION SWEATER

アンゴラ(兎）、ウール(羊)、モヘヤ(山羊)、カシミヤ(山羊)と様々な獣毛を組み合わせて編み、それぞれの糸の製品染めによる微妙な色差をデザインに応用したセーター。染色工場と緊密なやりとりができる「産地」だからこそ産まれた発想。

We brought the wool of various animals together in this sweater, which features layers knitted from angora (rabbit), wool (sheep), mohair (goat) and cashmere (goat). The gradient design was achieved by dyeing the finished sweater and taking advantage of subtle color variations produced by the different yarns, an idea born of our close collaboration with a dyeing factory in the local production area.

At COOHEM, we are known for our knit tweeds, and our inimitable “kōhen” technique of knitting together different materials allows us to create richly textured fabrics with a soft and light feel. Here, we combine eight different types of yarn to produce another striking example of what the COOHEM brand is all about.

最高級カシミヤ糸をミンク加工により更に毛足を長く、ふんだんに使用したブランド史上最もラグジュアリーな素材感。アラン模様というニットらしい組織でブルゾンというニットらしからぬアイテムを表現したモノづくりの常識を覆す逸品。

We used plenty of premium cashmere yarn with an extra-soft, furry finish to give this jacket a sumptuously luxurious feel. By creating a blouson jacket – an item seldom seen as a knit – in a traditional Aran knit pattern, we offer yet another unique item that redefines the conventional image of knitwear.
